15 weeks

Your Baby: Week 15

Continuing the march towards normal proportions, baby's legs now outmeasure the arms. And, finally, all four limbs have functional joints. Your fetus is squirming and wiggling like crazy down in the womb, though you probably still can't feel the movements.

* Total weight gain: down 10lbs total so far
* How big is baby?: The size of an orange
* Maternity clothes?: always

almost passed out in wal-mart today

that was super fun! NOT!

they are remodeling our wal-mart so all the fans above the registers are gone, and although they have the A/C on they have a lot of the ceiling panels gone so it isn't very cool in there. We were standing at the check out waiting and there was a lot of people in a small space. I started to get really hot and sweating really bad but didn't think anything of it. Then i started to get tunnel vision and i knew that i was going to pass out. I told DH that i needed to go sit on the bench NOW, so i went and sat on the bench where it was cool and not a lot of people. It took a few minutes but i did start to feel better. ugh, that really could have sucked.

my mom is a survivor

i know i have posted this poem before but i think it needs to be re-posted.

My Mom Is A Survivor

My Mom is a survivor, or so I've heard it said.
But I hear her crying at night when all others are in bed.
I watch her lay awake at night and go to hold her hand.
She doesn't know I'm with her to help her understand.
But like the sands on the beach that never wash away...
I watch over my surviving mom, who thinks of me each day.
She wears a smile for others, a smile of disguise.
But through Heaven's door I see tears flowing from her eyes.
My mom tries to cope with death to keep my memory alive.
But anyone who knows her knows it is her way to survive.
As I watch over my surviving mom... Through Heaven's open door.
I try to tell her that angels protect me forever more.
But I know that doesn't help her or ease the burden she bears.
So if you get a chance, go visit her and show her that you care.
For no matter what she says...no matter what she feels.
My surviving mom has a broken heart that time won't ever heal!

14 weeks and an appointment

Your Baby: Week 14

Your adorable little fetus is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, and (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidneys and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over the body for warmth.

* How far along?: 14 weeks
* Total weight gain: down 10lbs total so far
* How big is baby?: The size of a lemon
* Maternity clothes?: oh yes
* Stretch marks?: nothing new
* Sleep?: i do it every chance i get
* Best moment this week? having another ultrasound and getting to see the baby again
* Movement?: nope, not yet
* Food cravings?: Nacho cheese, and now chipotle
* Labor signs?: nope, thank god.
* Belly button in or out?: In.
* Sex?: not known yet, soon we hope
* What I miss: Nothing yet.
* What I'm looking forward to: finding out the gender soon
* Milestone: leaving the 1st trimester!

i had my 14 week appointment today. BP was 130/79, and i am down another 6lbs. Down a total of 10lbs this pregnancy already. My doctor asked me if i was having bad morning sickness, i told him im feeling much better these days. I do need to have a weight gain at my next appt though or he is going to get concerned (same thing happened with McKenzie). Baby is according to my doctor "measuring right along with 14 weeks" and has a "nice and strong heartbeat" (we say it, not heard it). The baby was curled completely in a ball but was doing summer saults all over. In 2 weeks i do my AFP tests and then i go back to my dr on August 17th!!
We brought chloe to my appointment and let her go back with us, she was so excited and is taking the ultrasound picture with her everywhere telling everyone "look at this cute picture of my baby".

it only took almost 3 years

Phillip and I have been married for going on 3years (October 28th) and I still have not gone and changed my last name. Part of it is me being lazy,  and part of it is finding the time/energy to get down to the social security office. Well i finally decided that it is time to get my lazy ass down there and FINALLY change my last name. So wednesday morning we will be getting up extra early to sit in line and wait at the social security office, sounds like fun right?!?!? Well at least its only a one time thing!

learning the abc's and 123s

We have been working on teaching chloe her alphabet and to count, and she is catching on for the most part. She will say her alphabet up to q.r.s and then gets confused and either starts over or finishes the song with "now i know my ABC's next time you sing with me". Her numbers she has down to 10, sometimes 11 or 12 but refuses to say anything after that. Nobody ever said that my kid isn't stubborn. The hardest thing for us to teach her is how old she is, i honestly think she knows and just refuses to say it and she absolutly WILL NOT hold up the number 2.
this is how most conversations go reguarding her age....
ME: hey, what is your name?
CHLOE: CHLOE ANNE HUNT
ME: and little Chloe Anne Hunt, how old are you?
CHLOE: Chloe Anne Hunt
ME: no, you are 2 years old. Your name is Chloe Anne Hunt
CHLOE: NO, my not 2. My is Chloe Anne Hunt
and that is usually where the conversation ends! Although yesterday she told me her name and how old she is, in the right order when i asked. Ahhh, such a proud moment in my life! Now if we could just get her to potty train in the next 5ish months or so that would be awesome.

13 weeks

Your Baby: Week 13

Your fetus is forming teeth and vocal cords... savor this, their non-functional phase. Baby is approaching normal proportions, with a head now only one third the size of the body. Intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy. (Much more convenient.)

* How far along?: 13 weeks
* Total weight gain: down 4lbs
* How big is baby?: The size of a peach
* Maternity clothes?: oh yes
* Stretch marks?: nothing new
* Sleep?: i do it every chance i get
* Best moment this week? leaving the 1st trimester and entering the 2nd!
* Movement?: nop
* Food cravings?: Nacho cheese
* Labor signs?: nope, thank god.
* Belly button in or out?: In.
*Sex?: not known yet
* What I miss: Nothing yet.
* What I'm looking forward to: Everything. my doctors appointment on the 20th
* Milestone: leaving the 1st trimester!

are you trying/hoping for a boy?

i really hate that question! I hate that question even more when it is followed by "since you already have a girl". I have come to perfect my answer though, i simply respond with "no, i have 2 beautiful daughters. We dont care if we have a boy or another girl, we just want a healthy baby to take home this time". I hate that people assume that we need to have a boy to be a happy family.

12 weeks

Your Baby: Week 12

As you move into the second trimester, baby shifts into the growth and maturation stage. After weeks in the critical development stage, almost all of baby's systems are fully formed.

pay it forward

so Thursday on our way home from HAND we had to stop and get Phillip something to eat. We stopped at jack in the box and got him something off the $ menu. When we got to the window the man told us "OK guys your food was paid for by the lady that just left". So i told Phillip "now you have to "pay it forward" and do the same for someone else". Yesterday Phillip did the work lunch run for everyone and went to ToGos, there was a police officer in line behind him so he paid for the officers lunch.
Well then last night we took Chloe and our nephew to chili's for dinner to spend time together and the same officer was there having dinner with 3 other police officers. When we went to leave (LONG after the cops had gone) the manager came and told us that the officer (same one he had bought lunch for) had paid for mine and Phillip's meals! I told him now he has to "pay it forward" to someone else!
