19 weeks

Your Baby: Week 19

Vernix caseosa, a greasy white substance made of lanugo, oil and dead skin cells (yum) now coats baby's skin, shielding it from the amniotic fluid. (Picture yourself after a nine-month bath, and the need for protection makes sense.) You might actually get to see the vernix at birth, especially if baby is premature.

18 weeks, holy crap

Holy crap, i honestly don't know how the hell i am 18 weeks pregnant already. I have a doctor appointment at 2pm to day and we will get another peek at little miss Avery. It dawned on me as i was starting this post that i am 18 weeks, that means this pregnancy is almost 1/2 over. Since my doctor is only letting me go to 37 weeks (maximum) i only have 19 weeks of pregnancy left! I will take a belly picture this week, but i wont have time until after my appointment so ill add it in.

Your Baby: Week 18

Your fetus has become amazingly mobile (at least compared to you), passing the hours yawning, hiccuping, rolling, twisting, kicking, punching, sucking and swallowing. And, baby's finally big enough that you'll be able to feel those movements soon.

Baby's skeleton is hardening, changing from rubbery cartilage to bone, and fat is finally accumulating around it. The umbilical cord is getting thicker and stronger, and those little fingers and toes are now topped by one-of-a-kind prints.

16 weeks

Your Baby: Week 16

Watch what you say... tiny bones forming in baby's ears mean the little one can now pick up your voice. Eyebrows, lashes and hair are starting to fill in, and taste buds are forming. And, if you're interested, an ultrasound might be able to determine gender.

i really dont like that feeling

today we were planning to take Chloe to the park. After we went to the store to get a few things we came home to pack our picnic lunch. I was standing in the kitchen making our sandwiches and all of the sudden i felt that all too familiar feeling. I started to get really hot and sweat, then i started to get tunnel vision, and instead of stopping what i was doing and sitting down before i passed out i continued what i was doing. Then it started to sound like people were talking under water and i knew that if i didn't sit down NOW it would be all bad. Luckily i told Phillip that i had to lay down NOW, he worked on the sandwiches and i layed down. After just a couple of minutes of laying in front of the fan i started to feel better. Sigh, between this feeling and being constantly nauseated i don't want to even get out of bed!
